About The Position
Acrisure is hiring an Associate Underwriter to assist licensed Benefits Advisors with preparing plan analyses for prospective clients and retaining existing clients. The role supports the underwriting and consulting process by learning healthcare terminology and underwriting procedures, analyzing utilization reports, preparing spreadsheet-based budget projections for consultant review, and helping Account Consultants create executive-level summaries. Responsibilities may be added as the employee's knowledge and proficiency grow.
Requirements
- A college degree or at least five years of experience in Employee Benefit insurance.
- Must possess a New Jersey Life & Health license or be willing to obtain one.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AI.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsiveness, and self-motivation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exceptional math skills.
- Must be a team player and task-oriented.
- Pleasant and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Learn healthcare terminology and the underwriting process.
- Enter and organize data in spreadsheets for analysis.
- Analyze utilization reporting.
- Prepare spreadsheet budget projections for consultant review and input.
- Assist Account Consultants in creating executive-level summaries.
