About The Position

Acrisure is hiring an Associate Underwriter to assist licensed Benefits Advisors in preparing plan analyses to acquire new clients and retain existing clients. The position supports underwriting and consulting work by organizing and analyzing benefits data, preparing budget projections, and helping create executive-level summaries. The role is on-site to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Requirements

• A college degree or at least 5 years of experience in employee benefits insurance.
• Must possess a New Jersey Life & Health license or be willing to obtain one.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AI.
• Proficient analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and self-motivation.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Exceptional math skills.
• Team-oriented and task-oriented, with a pleasant and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn health care terminology and the underwriting process.
• Organize spreadsheet data for analysis.
• Analyze utilization reporting.
• Prepare spreadsheet budget projections for consultant review and input.
• Assist Account Consultants in creating executive-level summaries.
• Take on additional responsibilities as knowledge and proficiency develop.
