About The Position

The Associate Technical Sales Engineer will work in Chromalox’s Electric Heat Trace Division as a liaison between customers and the organization, resolving customer concerns and supporting customer satisfaction before and after orders. The role develops engineered solutions for customers by understanding their applications and preparing and providing technical proposals. It also helps create cost-effective solutions for heat trace and control applications.

Requirements

Excellent customer-facing skills, including training, coaching, discussion management, conflict resolution, and the ability to explain and present complex concepts creatively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and concisely in verbal, written, and presentation formats to varied audiences.
Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; other degrees are also considered.
Working experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Experience with languages in addition to English.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient, profitable solutions for customers and the business; identify competitive solutions and review pricing options through appropriate channels.
Maintain proficiency in business systems, product lines, and relevant engineering principles.
Drive sales growth and follow up with customers on quotes.
Enter orders accurately while following company policy, pricing guidelines, and published lead times.
Promptly follow up on assigned sales leads.
Process customer material return requests.
Respond to customer inquiries efficiently and accurately, providing high-quality customer service.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize customer applications and resolve concerns efficiently.
Escalate concerns involving business at risk.
Verify contract information on customer purchase orders, confirm the organization can meet specified requirements, and ensure product requirements are clearly defined when orders are placed.
