Associate Relationship Banker - Deep Lake and Route 173 - Antioch, IL
About The Position
As an Associate Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you represent the brand and culture through welcoming, attentive service and the use of banking solutions and financial technology. You assist clients who visit the branch, draw on your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions, and contribute to branch success by helping address clients’ financial needs. The role involves assisting walk-in and scheduled clients in person and by phone, building lasting relationships, learning banking products and procedures, and connecting clients to digital banking tools and colleagues who can help with specialized financial needs. The position requires compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. It is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act.
Requirements
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators; the employment offer is contingent on review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information. Any felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies candidates from consideration.
- Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), or update an existing registration, upon active employment; maintain compliance with the SAFE Act, including registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewal and updates.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of sales experience in retail, financial services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Communicate clearly and politely in a consultative manner; ask questions and listen to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Assist walk-in and scheduled clients in person and by phone, build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to the team of experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
