Requirements

  • University degree or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Less than one year of experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or a related field.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team while being autonomous.
  • Aptitude for establishing and maintaining interdepartmental relationships as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and motivation to collaborate to make a positive impact.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Comfortable with change and managing tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Comfortable learning new systems and exploring new technologies.

  • Experience with an HRIS / ADP Workforce Now is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the onboarding process for all new employees, including facilitating HR orientation sessions, enrolling employees in various systems, administering surveys, and producing data reports.
  • Respond quickly, effectively, and accurately to new employees' questions to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to coordinate first-day details.
  • Support the employee departure process.
  • Conduct, collect, and analyze data from exit interviews to formulate recommendations for HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and the People team to support retention strategies.
  • Coordinate bi-monthly payroll summary reports.
  • Maintain the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) with employee data to ensure accurate payroll processing and data integrity.
  • Calculate employee entitlements and benefits related to medical leave, accumulated vacation, etc.
  • Create, compile, update, and utilize HR metrics to analyze trends and data.
  • Update, maintain, and present reports including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover rate, vacation usage, and hires by client group/department.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and employment laws and regulations in Ontario and Quebec.
  • Respond to and handle all employee inquiries regarding benefits, leaves, authorized absences, paid time off, etc., maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Support HR Business Partners (HRBPs) in the performance review process, ensuring managers adhere to policies and deadlines.
