About The Position

The Operations Program Manager represents Production Operations as the primary individual responsible for achieving cost and schedule commitments to the Program Management Office and external customer. This role serves as the main interface between Operations and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to coordinate production execution and resolve priority conflicts. The Operations Program Manager develops and executes manufacturing program plans and schedules, supports capacity planning, and leads efforts to improve cost and schedule performance across assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience leading a multi-functional, technically oriented Integrated Product Team in an operations environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in shop operations. Experience in operations planning, quality assurance, or continuous improvement is also beneficial.
  • Knowledge of computer-based project management tools associated with resource planning, scheduling, and cost monitoring.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience identifying process constraints, developing improvement plans, and implementing process improvements.
  • Secret security clearance required to start.
  • U.S. Person status may be required due to access to export-controlled information

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary conduit between the program office and the Operations organization for development, production, and spares or repairs activity on assigned programs.
  • Hold accountability for technical, cost, risk and opportunity, and schedule performance for all Operations scope on assigned programs.
  • Perform Control Account Manager responsibilities, including management and reporting of cost and schedule performance using Earned Value Management principles.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Contracts, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, and program office personnel to support action planning and execution.
  • Contribute schedule inputs and updates into the Integrated Master Schedule and support effective change management processes.
  • Monitor Rolling Action Item List performance and ensure issues are addressed quickly through corrective actions and recovery plans.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing program plans and schedules to support successful production execution.
  • Plan and coordinate activities that support verification and validation of new processes and product improvements.
  • Ensure Manufacturing and Production Readiness Reviews are performed on assigned programs, as applicable.
  • Facilitate Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality participation in design development to address manufacturability, testability, and inspectability concerns.
  • Participate in site capacity planning by providing future forecasted work details to the plant master scheduling team.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain success metrics and Lean initiatives that improve cost and schedule performance.
  • Lead and influence performance and deliverables across a matrix organization.
  • This role requires U.S. security clearance at the Secret level.
