About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting to create a pool of candidates for future part-time Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer opportunities in the School of Health Sciences and Wellness at UW-Stevens Point. Successful applicants will be considered for positions as they arise, with applications kept on file. The role is hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. Teaching load can range from 1-12 credits per semester. While the position is listed as on-site, partially remote opportunities may be available.

Requirements

• Master’s degree
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Effective team member

Nice To Haves

• Clinical or academic doctorate degree in a field related to health sciences and wellness
• Academic course teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
