About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to create a pool for future part-time opportunities. Upon successful submission, applicants will be considered for future needs, and their application will be on file. An associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer is hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. Teaching loads will vary between 1-12 credits per semester. While listed as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or a related field
  • Relevant work or teaching experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in mathematics
  • Secondary or university-level teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
