About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, clean, and presentable. The role involves bringing processed clothing to the sales floor, merchandising and refreshing product, and assisting customers with questions and shopping needs. The associate is also responsible for cleanliness in sales floor areas and restrooms, and for providing responsive, excellent customer service. The position is part-time at the Falcon Store and pays $16.51 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Ability to use judgment to assess product quality and value and determine pricing, including researching value when necessary.
• Ability to see color and use judgment to assess product quality and value.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying items and frequent standing and walking.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Prior visual merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed productivity standards and key performance indicators for assigned duties.
• Price items according to Goodwill standards for quality and value, researching item value online or using company tools and standards as needed.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning shelves and racks, picking items up from the floor, putting away products from racks, carts, and baskets, and returning unwanted items to their proper locations.
• Merchandise sales floor areas according to standards, including categorizing, colorizing, and sizing products, and flexing product placement to improve the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted floor needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent service to staff and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions.
• Rotate or remove old and unsold products promptly to refresh selection.
• Identify and pull e-commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.
• Perform additional duties as required.
