About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, clean, and presented according to merchandising standards. The role brings processed clothing to the sales floor, interacts with customers, answers product questions, and provides excellent customer service. Associates assess product quality and value for pricing, which may include researching items online or using company tools. They also help maintain the cleanliness of restrooms and other sales-floor areas, communicate product needs to the manager on duty, and may be cross-trained to support other departments.

• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Prior visual merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed productivity standards, expectations, and applicable key performance indicators for assigned duties.
• Price products according to Goodwill quality and value standards, researching item values online or using company tools when needed.
• Clean and organize the sales floor, shelves, and racks; pick up items from the floor; put away products from racks, carts, and baskets; and return unwanted items to their proper locations.
• Merchandise products according to standards, including categorizing, colorizing, and sizing, and make decisions about flexing product to improve the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted sales-floor product needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions as needed.
• Rotate or remove old or unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Identify and pull e-commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as required.
