About The Position

Brookfield is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Human Resources, to support the HR function for the Brookfield Private Wealth business. Working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, this individual will play a key role in delivering high-touch, best-in-class HR services within a dynamic, performance-driven environment. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding, while ensuring HR best practices and compliance across key HR functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years (Associate) of progressive HR experience; financial services or professional services experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compensation fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing guidance and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including employee handbooks and policy manuals.
  • Support the annual performance review process, ensuring consistency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in identifying development needs and supporting employee growth initiatives.
  • Assist in the coordination and analysis of annual compensation reviews, including benchmarking and internal equity reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to manage employee benefits administration and employee communications.
  • Support hiring efforts by helping to manage interview logistics, offer processes, and candidate experience.
  • Partner with internal recruiting teams and hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with business needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into the firm.
  • Support offboarding processes including exit interviews, system access changes, and final documentation.
  • Work with legal counsel and internal teams to manage U.S. immigration processes, including visa applications, renewals, and compliance tracking.
  • Maintain and update HRIS systems and personnel records.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
