About The Position

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to help create safe and reliable supply chain solutions for customers. This is a seasonal position lasting through February. Full-time placement may be considered depending on business needs. The starting hourly rate begins at $20 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90–120°F), subzero cold, and high winds (40+ mph).
• Comfort with climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a grain facility is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain and assist with weighing and grading grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, and rail car movers.
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles and performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and promptly reporting unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.
