About The Position

The Associate Director, Integrated Marketing develops and executes integrated marketing and communications strategies that advance registration, fundraising and engagement for the Alzheimer's Association's constituent events portfolio. Working across the Concern & Awareness team and with business partners, this role leads audience-centered messaging, campaign execution and content development that connects constituents to the Association's mission and impact. The role also oversees the creation of marketing resources, templates and communication tools that enable consistent and effective event promotion and execution across Chapters nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience; preferred 8 years or more
  • Strategic thinker, able to problem-solve and manage conflicting feedback and opinions.
  • Provides content solutions that meet business partners’ strategic objectives while maintaining marketing best practices.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills, building trusted relationships with partners to understand their business objectives, communication goals and evolving needs.
  • Identifies the need to meet one-on-one and in groups with colleagues to brainstorm; gathers information; presents ideas; follows through on specific assignments without prompts.
  • Able to plan content for multiple platforms and successfully adapt existing messaging and content to different marketing channels to expand audience reach and advance mission goals.
  • Collaborative, strategic project manager who works across divisions and functions. Effectively manages a high volume of materials and concurrent deliverables, negotiates priorities with partners, and ensures all contributors stay on task and adhere to timelines.
  • Models and implements the Association brand, ensuring quality and consistency across all communications. Understands industry best practices in content creation and project management; proactively provides thoughtful, strategic guidance on content and design, as well as the optimal channels to achieve progress and success.

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically in peer-to-peer fundraising and marketing, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key member of the Integrated Marketing team, helping drive full funnel marketing strategy for the organization’s signature constituent events, including Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Do What You Love to End ALZ and Ride to End ALZ.
  • Partners with the Senior Associate Director, other members of the Concern and Awareness team and business partners to develop and execute integrated marketing and communications plans that drive event registration and fundraising.
  • Develops creative briefs, project timelines and comprehensive project plans in support of Constituent Events business objectives. Manages campaign planning, messaging, marketing collateral development, tactical execution and the tracking and reporting of success metrics to ensure effective delivery of strategic marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of constituent journeys and audience segmentation, tailoring communications for diverse stakeholder groups, including National Teams, sponsors, team captains, company teams and participants. Provides strategic guidance on content development across paid media, earned media, social media, direct marketing and other channels, while collaborating with business partners and team members to edit, proofread and ensure message consistency and quality. Advises on messaging strategies that translate the Association's latest research, public policy priorities, mission impact and key organizational initiatives into relevant, compelling communications that inspire engagement and action.
  • Directs and coordinates the development of constituent event marketing assets and content across multiple platforms and channels, including advertising campaigns, websites, digital and print materials, merchandise and event communications. Oversees the creation of standardized templates, toolkits and resources used by Chapters nationwide to support participant recruitment, fundraising and day-of-event execution.
