About The Position

Horizon Media is seeking an Associate Director, Business Solutions to lead strategic media planning and client service while managing and developing the Business Solutions team. The role translates client goals into integrated media solutions, maintains strategic consistency across planning and implementation, and oversees campaign reporting and client presentations. It collaborates with senior leaders, activation and consumer insights teams, media partners, and partner and creative agencies to provide holistic solutions. The Associate Director oversees day-to-day team operations, supports professional development and performance, and builds strong client relationships. The role also manages account deliverables, campaign execution coordination, billing accuracy, and timely financial reporting. This position requires strong communication and presentation skills, sound problem-solving, flexibility across multiple priorities, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in media planning and strategy.
Strong understanding of marketing principles, analytics, and media trends.
Strong leadership skills and experience developing media professionals, including the ability to manage a team.
Experience in a client relationship management role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and media research and reporting resources.
Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills, including the ability to confidently present and sell ideas internally and to clients.
People management skills and comfort providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Problem-solving ability and capacity to develop creative solutions.
Flexibility and ability to oversee multiple deliverables and client requests.

Responsibilities

Translate client goals into strategic media solutions that grow client brands and maintain strategic consistency across plan development and implementation.
Collaborate with the Director and VP on strategic marketing approaches and translate client goals for the Business Solutions team, activation teams, consumer insights teams, and media partners.
Ensure teams follow internal and external processes and workflows.
Oversee campaign reporting analysis with internal teams, validate data, and present findings to clients.
Build strategic frameworks for plans and lead presentations.
Guide the team's understanding of clients' businesses and identify their motivations and needs.
Manage day-to-day Business Solutions Team operations to ensure consistent, high-quality client deliverables.
Provide real-time performance feedback, guide goal setting and professional development, and ensure team members have appropriately challenging projects and learning opportunities.
Conduct junior team members' performance reviews and coach them to maximize success.
Promote team members' work and foster a positive team environment.
Participate in interviews for junior team members.
Maintain positive client rapport and trust; collaborate with Horizon resources, partner agencies, and creative agencies to offer holistic business solutions.
Anticipate client requests and guide troubleshooting and problem-solving with internal resources.
Act as a go-to client contact, contribute in meetings, and provide points of view.
Serve as a lead voice for core clients, industry partners, and internal departments, and connect strategic leadership with senior and junior colleagues.
Oversee client requests and coordinate proactive solutions with internal teams.
Work with senior investment team leads to support campaign execution and deliver plan materials to clients.
Ensure billing and financial deliverables are accounted for, accurate, and delivered on time.
