About the position
We are hiring an Associate Director, Business Applications to manage, enhance, and support our suite of business applications. This role will oversee the end-to-end management of our G&A application portfolio, including applications related to Finance, Legal, and HR. The Associate Director will serve as the technical expert, translating business processes and requirements into system solutions. They will also drive improvements and efficiencies in business processes through the effective use of technology and collaborate with G&A teams to develop solution roadmaps and project plans.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of the G&A application portfolio, including Finance, Legal, and HR applications.
- Serve as the technical expert, providing hands-on implementation and support for business applications.
- Understand business processes and requirements, translating them into system solutions that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the successful execution of system implementations, upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
- Create and maintain relevant documentation, including system architecture, workflows, user guides, and training materials.
- Drive improvements and efficiencies in business processes through the effective use of technology.
- Partner with G&A teams and Head of IT to assess business capabilities and develop solution roadmaps and project plans to support company growth.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field, advanced degree preferred
- At least eight years of progressive IT experience in the Life Sciences
- Demonstrated IT expertise implementing processes and solutions for G&A (Finance, HR, Legal, etc.)
- Strong technical aptitude and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
