Associate Consultant, Air Quality
About The Position
Ramboll is seeking an Air Quality Associate to join the firm’s offices in Los Angeles or Irvine, California, or Phoenix, Arizona. This role is part of the Air & Climate Service Line within Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. The team consults with clients across various industries on a range of topics, including emissions estimation, air dispersion modeling, human health risk assessment, climate change, permitting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, enjoys thinking “outside-of-the-box,” can work in a team, applies analytical skills, and is looking to get their hands dirty.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, or a science degree with air quality course work with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
- Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations

Responsibilities
- Preparing emissions calculations
- Conducting air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control
- Assisting in preparing major and minor source permit applications and environmental impact reports
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
