About The Position

As an Associate Carrier Sales Representative at RXO, you will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will build relationships with carriers and coordinate communication among carriers and customers to support high-quality freight movement. You will also schedule pickup and delivery appointments, maintain accurate information in company operating systems, research potential leads, make cold calls, and track billing and invoicing to confirm carrier charges are accurate.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process.
• Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns, or other issues as necessary.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times, considering factors such as weather, traffic, miles, and service rules.
• Follow established procedures and protocols regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure shipment integrity and protect the RXO brand.
• Accurately maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems.
• Research available databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate.
