About The Position

The Associate, Banker-Industry/Country Coverage role with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York, involves creating and analyzing financial models, preparing client presentations, managing transaction processes, and structuring transactions, with a primary focus on companies in the Industrials sector. The position requires developing financial models, performing company valuation analysis, and actively participating in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, as well as fixed income and equity issuances. Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Science, or related field
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) in the job offered or in a related role
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with serving as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence, and structuring engagements related to transactions for private equity and strategic corporate clients
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with performing due diligence projects to provide a thorough review of tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements needed to evaluate and calculate potential exposures
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with identifying and analyzing tax risks and opportunities while advising on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with providing financial accounting, tax planning, and advisory services to clients, including implementing accounting standards, finance function transformation, annual reporting, and due diligence
  • One (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with assisting clients in inbound and outbound transaction consulting, including international tax research, planning, compliance, tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition planning
