About The Position

This role involves preparing and reviewing financial projections, models, accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings, and presentations for live deals, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches, and client service projects. The Associate will interact regularly with senior management to execute projects, provide updates and advice, and prepare presentation materials, particularly for M&A and equity underwriting processes. The position also facilitates live deal execution, including due diligence, marketing material production, negotiation of legal documents, organization of roadshows, and liaison with other investment banks and internal divisions. Additionally, the role involves generating ideas for client meetings, assisting clients in identifying acquisition targets, and drafting financing and offering documents.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Affairs, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Affairs, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with Master’s degree or three (3) years of experience with Bachelor’s degree with: Producing client reports using market data analyses, leveraging electronic data sources including Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ; performing credit analysis, including analyzing a company’s financial position, evaluating historical cashflow, assessing the maturity profile; analyzing company data, including strategic operating plans, documentation of live transactions, and regulatory filings; executing debt and equity or private M&A (buyside and sell-side) transactions; and Liaising with capital market specialists in connection with the structuring, pricing and distribution of structure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial projections and models, accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, and presentations prepared for live deals, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects on corporate finance topics.
  • Supervise and review memoranda required to gain internal approvals from typical investment banking committees.
  • Interact with senior management on a regular basis to execute projects, provide updates and advice and prepare presentation materials especially as it relates to M&A and equity underwriting processes.
  • Facilitate live deal execution, including running due diligence processes, producing marketing materials, negotiating non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows and liaising other investment banks and other parties within the Investment Banking division.
  • Generate ideas and topics for client meetings with existing clients (e.g. assists clients in identifying potential acquisition targets) and socializes those ideas with the internal deal teams, the client’s CFO, CEO and management teams.
  • Draft financing and offering documents.
  • Assist companies in preparation of materials to present to potential buyers of the company.
