About The Position

Auction.com is hiring a part-time Associate Auction Coordinator to represent the company at live real estate auctions, traditionally held at courthouse locations. The coordinator welcomes and assists bidders, helps ensure pre-auction requirements are complete, and supports the processes needed to conduct successful auctions. The role also involves educating customers about auction participation and Auction.com programs and resources. The territory is Williamsburg/Newport News, Virginia, with travel of up to two hours to surrounding county courthouse auctions as needed. A rental car is provided for travel outside the primary territory; the coordinator may also regularly travel to event locations in a personal vehicle. The Area/State Manager assigns daily auctions according to scheduling needs, so the schedule must be flexible and adaptable. Auctions take place Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Each auction day generally requires three to four hours of work, with an average of six to ten hours weekly. Hours fluctuate and are not guaranteed. Required in-person and Zoom training sessions and team calls are also part of the role, with opportunities to earn additional compensation. This position requires accurate handling and entry of sensitive buyer and seller information, customer service in a fast-paced auction environment, and the ability to multitask. The coordinator maintains professional relationships with customers and onsite personnel, handles equipment and materials, uses proprietary software, completes receipts and event reports, and participates in training and team calls. The role includes handling funds, including cash, and requires standing for long periods and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
