About The Position

A consumer protection law firm headquartered in New York City is hiring a full-time Associate Attorney to handle its practice in Arizona. The role provides exposure to consumer protection matters, including transactional work and civil litigation. The attorney will work from home and communicate with the New York headquarters exclusively by telephone and electronic means, such as email and Microsoft Teams. Candidates must currently be located in Arizona and admitted to practice law there. Travel is required for court appearances.

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Arizona.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Currently located in Arizona.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong legal research skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of the firm’s clients in Arizona.
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances.
