About The Position
Sumner & Associates, PC, a boutique law firm serving families across Oakland and Macomb Counties, is hiring an Associate Attorney in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The attorney will practice divorce and family law, estate planning, and probate and trust administration. This is a client-facing role involving client meetings, court appearances, negotiation, drafting, and managing individual matters. The firm offers direct mentorship from an attorney with more than 35 years of experience, real client responsibility and courtroom experience, experienced paralegal support, and established systems. The firm seeks someone interested in building a long-term career and growing into an independent Michigan attorney.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Michigan law license.
- Strong writing skills and confident communication with clients, counsel, and the court.
- Comfort with numbers and financial information.
- Organization, accountability, and eagerness to grow into an independent Michigan attorney.
