About The Position

The firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its consumer protection practice in New Hampshire. The role involves a broad range of consumer protection legal issues, including transactional and civil litigation matters, and offers exposure to varied legal work. The attorney will work from home and communicate with the firm’s New York headquarters exclusively by telephone and electronic means, such as email and Microsoft Teams. Candidates must currently be located in New Hampshire. Travel is required for in-court appearances.

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in New Hampshire.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload of the firm’s clients in New Hampshire.
• Communicate with clients about their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances.
