About The Position

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability matters. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience. The role requires the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution, including taking and defending depositions, preparing and filing dispositive motions, and prior ADR experience. Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• At least 5 years of experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability cases in the State of New York.
• Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Ability to perform legal research.
• Ability to respond to discovery requests.
• Prepare comprehensive written status reports for insurers.
• Previous experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions independently.
• Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare and file dispositive motions.
• Handle arbitrations and mediations.
• Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements.
• Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Conduct in-depth legal research.
• Prepare strategic memoranda.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
