About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their award-winning team. This role involves handling a variety of litigation matters including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and tort claims. The attorney will manage all aspects of cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions, attending mediations, and trial. The position offers opportunities to work with diverse clients and collaborate with experienced partners for professional growth. This is a fully remote position for candidates residing in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Riverside Counties).

Requirements

  • Current admission to the California State Bar.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • At least one year of experience defending tort claims.
  • Experienced in preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and legal briefs.
  • Experienced in taking and defending depositions.
  • Experienced in communicating with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Experienced in appearing in court.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
  • Client-focused mindset.
  • Passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in arguing motions.
  • Experience attending mediations and arbitrations.
  • Trial experience.
  • Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently.
