Assisted Living Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
The LPN provides direct nursing care to residents at Gerrish Manor Assisted Living and supervises day-to-day nursing activities performed by Licensed Nursing Assistants and Resident Companions. Supervision must follow applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as requirements set by the Administrator of Assisted Living, to help maintain the highest degree of quality care. Gerrish Manor aims to foster positive, trusting relationships with residents and staff in a home-like environment that values residents' individuality, well-being, and quality of life. Staff assist residents with their individual needs in ways that support independence and promote dignity.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized school of practical nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration.
- One year of experience as a staff nurse, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the required knowledge and abilities.
- Conditional hires must complete a drug screen and criminal background check.
