About The Position

The Assistant Toddler Teacher implements the AEA curriculum and engages children in developmentally appropriate activities within a nurturing classroom environment. The role inspires young minds and fosters a love of learning while collaborating with a supportive team to create a positive and enriching educational experience. The teacher assesses children's growth and areas for improvement, holds formal meetings with parents, and assists with diaper changes. The teacher is expected to understand and follow Amazing Explorers Academy policies, procedures, and expectations.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education, or 45 hours of training.
Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility.
Pleasant, friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
Highly professional and dependable.

Responsibilities

Maintain classroom appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Complete necessary paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, and attendance.
Attend staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings.
Supervise and assist children during activities.
Provide counseling for social, academic, or adjustment issues.
Plan and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
Prepare instructional aids and materials.
Assist with meal times and cleanup.
Ensure equipment is in good condition and used properly.
Arrange the classroom for well-defined interest areas.
Keep the classroom organized and clean.
Communicate with parents and maintain developmental profiles.
Schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences.
Manage classroom bulletin boards and the family information board.
Conduct assessments of children to indicate growth and areas for improvement.
Assist with diaper changes.
Perform assigned duties.
