About The Position

The Baltimore Montessori Locust Point is hiring a Support/Floater Assistant Teacher to help create a safe, positive learning environment for children. The Assistant Teacher supports implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, prepares and organizes learning materials, and supervises children during activities, meals, and naptime. The role also involves supporting children's development and growth, monitoring their progress, and fostering a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school offers a supportive environment and resources for educators, along with education incentives and career development programs intended to help employees build their careers. The Baltimore Montessori is part of Endeavor Schools, which operates more than 100 schools in 14 states and offers different educational styles and methods across its schools.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completed 90-hour Infant/Toddler MSDE certification.
Ability to work 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddlers; experience with additional age groups is a plus.
