About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports daily care and learning at The Children's Courtyard of Southern Pines. The role helps create an engaging classroom where children can learn and thrive, while following licensing guidelines and company standards. The teacher maintains a clean, organized, and interactive classroom; observes and assesses children; helps plan for their needs; and communicates effectively with families. Extensive training is provided on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Observe and assess children and contribute to planning for them.
