About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom, and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment. The role involves helping children develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically through active engagement and positive interactions. The Assistant Teacher also helps prepare classroom materials, supports daily care routines, and communicates with families about children’s progress and daily activities. The school describes a supportive, collaborative team and state-of-the-art facilities. Each school is privately owned and operated, and compensation and benefit programs vary by location.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
Empathy and compassion for young children.
Ability to work productively without supervision.
Basic understanding of child development.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with handling children.
Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
