About The Position

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a classroom environment filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support young learners through experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth, helping provide a warm and welcoming setting where children feel safe and supported.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Nice To Haves

• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
