About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager at Spectrum supports the store’s sales and service goals by leading and coaching employees, creating a high-performance sales culture, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role involves developing team members, building customer loyalty, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

The position also manages daily store operations, including staffing and scheduling, and oversees inventory control, policy compliance, and audits. The role is based in a fast-paced retail environment and requires professional representation of the Spectrum brand.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and professionally when communicating with employees and customers in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Significant experience working in a retail store environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate others in a goal- and incentive-based work environment.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• High comfort level with personal technology, such as mobile devices and personal video platforms.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer and software applications.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks or projects, and handle change effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of sales or customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of management experience.
• 2–3 years of telecommunications or wireless experience.
• Familiarity with the latest technology and devices.
• Willingness to travel to other locations as business needs dictate.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Sales training certifications.
• Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support and motivate the team to achieve sales goals, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain a positive, high-energy work environment.
• Coach employees to build customer relationships, resolve escalations, and recommend solutions that retain and upgrade customers.
• Recruit, train, and mentor team members.
• Manage daily store operations, including staffing and scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Maintain a welcoming, well-organized store that reflects Spectrum’s brand and supports excellent customer service.
• Oversee inventory control, enforce company policies, and complete audits to minimize losses.
• Work scheduled overtime as needed.
