About The Position

Clarks is seeking a full-time Assistant Store Manager to join its retail team. The role partners with store leadership to support a successful sales and performance culture, develop associates, and help achieve store goals. The Assistant Store Manager may handle employee relations issues when the Store Manager is absent and contributes to store operations, merchandising, and safety.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Prior management experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
Support a team-selling environment.
Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
Help set reachable but high goals for themselves and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing levels needed to achieve its goals.
Handle employee relations issues within the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Participate in analysis of the profit and loss statement.
Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
Ensure products are merchandised according to company directives.
Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
