About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates team members, supports a customer-focused selling culture, ensures execution of store KPIs, and holds employees accountable for company policies and procedures. The Assistant Store Manager serves as a floor supervisor as needed, supports operational and visual standards, and contributes to recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. This is a part-time position requiring 20–40 hours per week and flexibility to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time-management skills.
Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills.
Ability to work 20–40 hours per week and a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Deliver and promote an engaging, positive, authentic customer experience and maintain a customer-focused mindset.
Handle customer situations in compliance with company policy, attempt to resolve issues, and escalate when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom environment.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Serve as floor supervisor when needed, including covering non-peak periods and breaks.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks and following policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Coach and provide feedback on Sales Associate performance, recognize outstanding performance, and support associate engagement.
Provide direction to associates on company directives and standards; prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Drive efficiency in store operations and maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards in the store and stockroom.
Represent the PacSun brand through passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends, while demonstrating initiative to learn.
Model company culture, conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; build cross-functional partnerships and promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence.
Balance a strong management presence with approachability and encourage associate feedback and interaction.
Serve as a PacSun advocate in the industry and marketplace.
