About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers results and provides an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while fostering a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve business results and may perform management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.

The position requires flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends, and may involve occasional travel to other store locations. Physical tasks may include bending, lifting, opening, and moving products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds, as needed. The role reports to the Store Manager.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other store locations, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members who are committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.
