About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates the team through Pacsun’s core values, supports a customer-focused selling culture, ensures execution of store KPIs, and holds employees accountable for following company policies and procedures. The Assistant Store Manager delivers an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience; supports store operations and visual standards; coaches and recognizes associates; and contributes to recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. The position requires flexibility to work 32–40 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods. The role involves frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds, prolonged sitting or standing, ladder use as needed, and movement around the sales floor, stockroom, and office.

Frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a customer-focused mindset and ensure team members provide an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience.
Handle customer situations in accordance with policies and procedures, attempt to resolve issues, and escalate them as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom environment.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Act as floor supervisor when needed, including covering non-peak periods and breaks.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on performance; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
Direct associates to ensure they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Improve efficiency in store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the PacSun brand and demonstrate passion for products, brands, fashion, and trends.
Model company culture, conduct, and core values; foster approachability, transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Build cross-functional partnerships and support business results.
