About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager with daily retail store operations to support maximum sales and profitability. The role includes merchandising execution, expense and inventory management, training and developing the store team, human resources management, and delivering outstanding customer service. The position is based in Redan, Stone Mountain, Georgia, and may require work at multiple stores in the assigned district. The standard work week does not exceed 40 hours. A flexible schedule is required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The role may involve extended hours during critical project phases, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and travel by car, plane, or train. Reliable transportation is required. Requirements

At least one year of retail management experience.
Solid knowledge of business and excellent command of English for effective communication with management, associates, and customers.
Strong interpersonal skills, including poise, tact, and diplomacy when handling sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to think strategically and plan and organize effectively.
Professionalism in all situations.
Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to administrative problems, and prioritize work.
Results-driven approach with critical and creative thinking, project management, time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use independent judgment, compassion, and diplomacy.
Ability to plan, organize, multitask, set priorities, and respond proactively to changing demands from multiple sources.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel by car, plane, or train.

Responsibilities

Oversee the overall quality and performance of retail store staff.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Model effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
Assist with recruiting, selecting, training, and developing store personnel.
Assist the Store Manager with annual performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Assist with expense management and develop strategies to support store performance in accordance with the budget.
Help monitor and identify issues involving store losses or inconsistencies so the store can meet shrink goals at or below the company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Ensure customer service standards are upheld and provide a friendly environment for customers.
Assist with accurate and regular merchandise inventory counts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
