About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in building and developing a team that delivers strong results and an excellent customer experience. The role shares responsibility for store operations, sales performance, and maintaining a visually appealing store. The Assistant Store Manager fosters a positive environment for managers, associates, and customers and helps execute store priorities. This position reports to the Store Manager.

The role requires an inspirational and engaging leader who can attract talent, work effectively with a team, manage competing priorities with urgency, adapt to change, take on additional responsibilities, and pursue personal growth. The Assistant Store Manager may perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts and carry out management functions when the Store Manager is absent. Occasional travel to other store locations may be required.

The listed pay range is USD $17.50 to USD $24.13 per hour. Eligible associates may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, term life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. All associates are eligible for a merchandise discount.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in an apparel business of similar volume is preferred.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• May require occasional travel to other store locations, if needed.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.

• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and remain accountable for its results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operational standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the Store Manager’s absence.

• Bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
