About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Ellenton Premium Outlet store in Ellenton, Florida. Management team members oversee daily store operations, lead and develop staff, and deliver excellent customer experiences. The role contributes to store sales, profitability, operational performance, and the company’s growth. The posting covers Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor positions, with different availability and weekly-hour requirements for each. Managers may be asked to take on additional duties or projects, and may be required to move to other company locations based on operational needs and career growth.

Requirements

Proven experience as a retail store manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to outstanding customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness and availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as applicable to the position.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Assistant Store Manager: open availability during the hours needed to open and close the store; minimum standard work week of five days; average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak sales periods.
Supervisor: availability during the hours needed to open and close the store and at least five days of availability; minimum standard work week of 30 hours.
Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly enough to converse with customers, supervise staff, and perform business-related mathematics and understand corporate sales reports.
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged standing; stooping, kneeling, reaching, and pulling; climbing ladders or using stairs; regularly lifting 5–25 pounds and potentially heavier items in certain circumstances; and having good vision, including color differentiation.

Two or more years of retail leadership experience is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to improve store operations.
Perform additional duties and projects as required.
