About The Position

As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager in building a team that delivers results through an excellent customer experience. You share responsibility for executing store operations and maintaining a visually appealing store, while creating a positive environment that develops and engages managers, associates, and customers. The role reports to the Store Manager.

You partner with the Store Manager to achieve business results, develop team members, and uphold store standards. You oversee an assigned division of responsibility, engage customers to build relationships and brand loyalty, and perform point-of-sale transactions on designated shifts. In the Store Manager’s absence, you execute management functions. The position may require occasional travel to other store locations.

Requirements

• Flexible availability to meet business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar-volume apparel business.
• A proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans that achieve results and grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop team members committed to creating a great customer experience.
• Oversee an assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support the Store Manager in consistently meeting store merchandising and operations standards.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive it forward.
• Remain composed when facing challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions when the Store Manager is absent.
