About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager, referred to at NIKE as an Assistant Head Coach, leads and supports a retail team in a high-volume, fast-paced Nike Factory Store. The role represents the NIKE brand and helps customers make informed decisions through strong customer service and the implementation of NIKE Service Principles. The Assistant Store Manager coaches and inspires employees, fosters an inclusive and supportive team environment, drives store growth strategies, and helps build community partnerships. The role also oversees store operations, staffing, business results, and product movement from the stockroom through merchandising and onto the sales floor.

Requirements

Four years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
Three years of leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Proven ability to use tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching and counseling.
Ability to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead a team to keep all store functions running seamlessly.
Attract, assess, and onboard future team members to ensure the store is appropriately staffed.
Equip store employees with the tools they need to succeed in their day-to-day responsibilities.
Lead the store team and business results and critical metrics, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, people leadership, and management.
Manage the product life cycle from the stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor.
Train the team and implement NIKE Service Principles.
Coach and inspire the team to deliver strong customer experiences and help team members feel included and supported.
Drive store growth strategies and create opportunities to build community partnerships.
