About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports daily store operations and partners with the Store Manager to deliver strong execution, develop team members, and maintain a safe, organized, customer-focused environment. The role includes leading assigned shifts and serving as Manager on Duty when needed, as well as supporting merchandising, product resets, remodels, and special projects. The position offers an opportunity to build leadership skills, contribute to team performance, and grow within a collaborative, people-first culture.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel between locations as scheduled and assigned, both in the local pod and the wider region.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and climb a step ladder.
• Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to safely move carts, fixtures, and merchandising equipment as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of retail, grocery, merchandising, or customer service experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including merchandising, product resets, remodels, and special projects.
• Lead assigned shifts and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members while reinforcing company standards and best practices.
• Monitor project progress and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Build positive relationships with customers, store leadership, and team members.
• Promote safety by modeling safe work practices and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Use company technology and reporting systems to support daily operations and project execution.
