About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its Colonie Center store in Albany, New York. Management members oversee daily store operations, inspire and develop a high-performance team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. They contribute to store success and company growth in a fast-paced retail environment. The Assistant Store Manager role requires open availability during hours needed to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights, and a minimum standard work week of five days. The average standard work week is 44 hours and may increase during peak sales periods. The Supervisor role requires availability during opening and closing hours, a minimum of five days of availability, and a minimum standard 30-hour work week. All management roles require weekend and holiday availability. Assistant Manager pay is $18.38–$22.50 per hour, with bonus opportunities if store KPIs are met. Supervisor pay is $18.00 per hour. All roles are eligible for the company 401(k) plan. Full-time roles are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
Availability as required for the relevant role, including mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays; Assistant Store Managers must have open availability and a minimum standard five-day work week, while Supervisors must be available at least five days per week.
Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly enough to communicate with customers, supervise staff, and perform business-related mathematics and understand corporate sales reports.
May need to move to different locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of retail leadership experience, strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Perform additional duties and projects as required.
