About The Position

JD Finish Line is hiring management team members for its retail store at Galleria At Crystal Run in Middletown, New York. Management team members manage daily store operations, lead and develop employees, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role contributes to store success through sales growth, operational excellence, financial management, community engagement, and continuous improvement.

The posting covers Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor roles, which have different availability and weekly-hour requirements. Assistant Store Managers must be available for a minimum standard work week of five days, averaging 44 hours and increasing during peak sales periods. Supervisors must be available at least five days and work a minimum standard of 30 hours per week. All management roles require weekend and holiday availability, as well as availability to open and close the store.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar role, with a record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and memorable shopping experiences.
• Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
• Assistant Store Managers must have open availability to work the hours needed to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights; a minimum standard work week of five days; and an average standard work week of 44 hours, with increased hours during peak periods.
• Supervisors must be available to work the hours needed to open and close the store, including mornings, days, and nights, and have a minimum of five days of availability and a minimum standard 30-hour work week.
• All management employees must be available on weekends and holidays, be punctual and regularly attend work in accordance with company policies, and have reliable transportation.
• Must speak English clearly to converse with customers and supervise staff, and read and write English and perform business-related mathematics to carry out normal business and understand corporate sales reports.
• May need to move to different locations within the company network based on operational needs and career growth.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet the described physical demands, including prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, and lifting merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two or more years of retail leadership experience, strongly preferred.

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to improve store operations.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required.
