About The Position

The El Super Assistant Store Director assists the Store Director with the complete operation of a designated store. The role works with corporate management, department heads, associates, and vendors to drive sales and ensure high levels of customer service. The Assistant Store Director serves as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision-making, and helps ensure the proper operation of all grocery store departments. The position assists the Store Director in focusing on store employees and resolving complex problems, and coordinates employee work to achieve satisfactory operating results in compliance with company procedures and policies.

The work environment is typical of a fast-paced grocery store. Essential functions include lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. CPFM—Certified Food Protection Manager—or an equivalent certification is required for positions related to preparing, handling, and serving food. Starting pay is $22 per hour; actual starting pay depends on qualifications, including experience and relevant skills.
