About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager with day-to-day operations at a high-energy convenience store. The role includes customer service and register work, team leadership, staffing, inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store. The Assistant Manager may act as manager when the Store Manager is off. Open availability is required, with work on weekends and holidays and primarily second or third shifts.

Requirements

Open availability, including weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
Valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
Comfort with cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
At least 21 years old.
Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
Willingness to learn.
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Operate the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
Handle daily cash, make deposits, and oversee store financials.
Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
