About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Assistant Site Supervisor/Operations to oversee daily security operations for a high-profile customer and its assets in Laguna Niguel, California. The role provides operational guidance, support, and supervision to the security team, while helping maintain and administer security procedures and protocols. The Assistant Site Supervisor serves as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners and contributes to the security and well-being of the organization, its assets, and its security department.

The position includes assisting with administrative and operational duties, overseeing camera and access control systems, managing reports and personnel performance indicators, and supporting scheduling, payroll tracking, project management, safety training, and certifications. The role also involves assessing risks, responding to incidents, coordinating security measures across departments, and recommending improvements to systems and procedures. The listed pay rate is $23.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of professional security experience.
• Leadership and supervision skills, including the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills for analyzing security issues and developing solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with people at all organizational levels.
• Expertise in security principles, including risk assessment, threat analysis, and emergency response planning.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with computer software and systems, including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, C-Cure, Avigilon, WinTeam, security management platforms, Heliaus, and D3 reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in criminal justice or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant maritime security laws, regulations, and security industry best practices.
• Prior experience in security operations supervision, law enforcement, or the military.
• Valid security license or certification, such as a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
• Incident Command System (ICS) training certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and oversee daily security team operations, including task completion and administrative supervision.
• Become a subject matter expert in the refinery camera and access control systems.
• Serve as a member of the Site Supervision Management Team.
• Devise and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization and its assets.
• Conduct routine security assessments, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and develop risk-reduction strategies.
• Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond promptly to security breaches or incidents.
• Liaise with the Senior Security Advisor/Manager.
• Administer daily operational duties, including oversight of security operations, Heliaus reporting and report dissemination, personnel KPI management, project management, scheduling, payroll tracking and preparation, and safety training and certification oversight.
• Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches; prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into operations and administration, including events, facility management, and employee safety.
• Keep informed about security trends, technologies, and regulations and recommend system or procedural enhancements.
• Cross-train in Security Administrative Supervisor duties, including administrative technology, tracking, payroll, and procedures.
