About The Position

This position assists in creating a smooth-operating department by overseeing the cleanliness of all public areas. The role spends up to 95% of its time on the floor monitoring work tasks and employee performance, ensuring compliance with hotel and department policies, procedures, and service standards, and coaching, developing, and motivating staff. The Assistant Shift Manager checks assigned areas at Wynn or Encore properties to ensure 5 Star cleaning standards are met and operations run smoothly.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent English language skills.
Willingness to remain positive and effective during high-stress periods.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Additional language skills.
A minimum of three years of large resort experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the cleanliness of public areas and monitor job tasks and employee performance.
Ensure compliance with hotel and department policies, procedures, and service standards; coach, develop, and motivate staff.
Open and close staff time clocks.
Update and post daily sign-in sheets as needed.
Adjust daily shift schedules and radio, key, and equipment log sheets as needed.
Hand out keys, radios, and equipment.
Assist with daily pre-shifts.
Ensure special projects and cleaning requests are completed and notify Shift Managers of their status.
Conduct performance reviews as assigned by the Shift Manager.
Monitor staff for safety, policy compliance, and performance accountability.
Coordinate disciplinary actions with Managers.
Walk and check assigned areas at Wynn or Encore properties to ensure 5 Star cleaning standards and smooth operations.
Ensure proper placement and removal of sign stanchions.
Attend bi-weekly Shift Manager meetings.
