About The Position

Wright Implement is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for the Bowling Green, Kentucky Service Department. The role manages turf service operations to maximize return on investment, optimize department processes, and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. The position supports profitable service labor sales and disciplined expense control, while attracting, retaining, and engaging department personnel.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a Service Department or related operations.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
Basic understanding of financial principles related to Service Department operations.
Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Turf Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Assist in creating annual department goals and budgets aligned with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Assist in developing and executing the department marketing plan and monitor it monthly to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
Assist in coordinating customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events.
Submit service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within required timeframes to receive maximum credit.
Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to department employees according to their skills and knowledge.
Review repair orders for completeness and accuracy before customer billing; process and close repair orders in a timely manner.
Ensure departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
