About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping stylists succeed. The position is suited to a licensed stylist who enjoys supporting others, staying organized, and taking on more responsibility; prior management experience is not always necessary. The role may provide a path toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions.

Assistant Salon Managers provide hair care and customer service while helping motivate and support a team. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. Salons offer a team-oriented environment and technology such as Online Check-In and the Great Clips App to help manage salon tasks. All Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, which are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization, flexibility, and a desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
• Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.

• Prior management experience is helpful but is not always required.
